Who are we

We at INREM Foundation empower the rural communities of India by building safe-water communities. We achieve this through policy support, access to knowledge, and working out innovative solutions to help them overcome the challenges of contaminated water bodies.

Our vision is to create a future where every rural community in India has access to clean and safe water, ensuring the health, well-being, and sustainable livelihoods of millions.

We aim to realise this vision through community-based learning and our unrelenting support to change-makers to ensure solutions to issues regarding health, livelihood and the environment.

Our Approach

We are rooted in the strong belief that every person deserves the right to a clean environment, better health, livelihood and quality of life. To this end, with integrity, empathy and adaptability at our core, we are committed to finding long-term solutions for problems through groundwork that is rich in innovation and impact.

We have built a reputation in India for undertaking the crucial work of addressing water pollution issues. We have worked extensively to save the lives of children deeply affected by the wicked problems of water contamination and poor nutrition.

We have worked tirelessly to make a meaningful difference in 11 districts of 7 states of India.

Our direct engagement programmes which work in local partnerships with government, civil society organizations, and rural communities.

Enabling Scalable Solutions

Our organisational outcomes for enabling and scaling solutions include a fivefold increase in network membership, with a 20% rise in engagement rates. We aim to implement Depth models in 2 states that extend to the community level.

Building partnerships for Systemic change

Creating district-based partnerships across India as seeds for systemic change in a wider network.
